Education:
Ms. Harrell graduated cum laude in May, 2003 from James Madison University. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Administration with a focus in Criminal Justice, a minor in Political Science, and concentrated studies in Psychology. During her college career, Ms. Harrell studied abroad in London, England at the University College of London and was active in many honorable organizations. She is currently pursuing a Juris Doctor degree at George Mason University School of Law in Arlington, Virginia. Ms. Harrell studied international law at the University of Amsterdam in The Netherlands during the summer of 2005.
Experience / Designations:
Ms. Harrell gained her first experience in the legal field during her final semester of college. She interned at the D.C. Public Defenders Service as an investigator for several attorneys in Washington, D.C. Ms. Harrell began work for the law office of Martin J. Ganderson as a paralegal in the fall of 2003. Ms. Harrell continued her work for Mr. Ganderson as a law clerk in the summer of 2005. Her work at the law office of Martin J. Ganderson has significantly broadened her knowledge of estate planning and corporate law, as well as enhanced her research skills and professionalism.
Personal:
Ms. Harrell is a native of Chesapeake, Virginia and a graduate of Western Branch High School. She has two supportive parents, Susan and James R. Harrell, a brother, James A. Harrell, a sister-in-law, Jessica Harrell, and a new nephew, James “Seth” Harrell. Ms. Harrell enjoys traveling abroad and within the United States. She is currently improving her proficiency in French at the International Language Institute in Washington, D.C.
