Education:
Ms. Mellington graduated from
the T.C. Williams School of Law of the University of
Richmond in 2004. During the summer after her first year of
law school, she studied abroad in Greece through Tulane
University. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in
Psychology from Mary Washington College in 2001, where she
graduated cum laude. During her college career, Ms.
Mellington worked on campus and was an active member of the
Honor Council and Rotaract Club.
Experience / Designations:
Ms.
Mellington began working as an associate attorney for the
law office of Martin J. Ganderson in October, 2004, and is
now a shareholder of GANDERSON LAW, P.C., the successor in
practice to the law office of Martin J. Ganderson,
concentrating her practice areas in corporate, estate
planning and administration, and elder law matters. Ms.
Mellington interned at a Fredericksburg law firm during
college and worked part-time for an attorney in Richmond
during her third year of law school. She also gained
experience working for law firms on the Eastern Shore during
summers both before, and during, law school.
Ms. Mellington is a member of
the Virginia State Bar, the American Bar Association, and
the Norfolk and Portsmouth Bar Association. She is admitted
to practice in the Supreme Court of Virginia.

Ms. Mellington is a co-author of
(i) "Fundamental Issues in Elder Law," National Business
Institute, Inc. (2006), and (ii) Virginia Medicaid
Workshop," HalfMoon LLC, 2004.
Personal:
Ms. Mellington resides in
downtown Norfolk, although she is originally from the
Eastern Shore of Virginia, where her parents, Doug and Jenny
Mellington, still reside. Ms. Mellington has two sisters,
Katie Grace, who is a graduate student at Old Dominion
University, and Jordan Elise, who is an undergraduate
student at Christopher Newport University. Ms. Mellington
enjoys spending time with friends and family, kayaking, and
traveling. Ms. Mellington is also an active member of the
Junior League of Norfolk - Virginia Beach, Inc.
