Education:
Mr. Ganderson earned his law degree from the Columbus School of Law of the Catholic University of America in 1977. He graduated from the University of Miami,
cum laude, with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1973, earning membership in Beta Gamma Sigma.
Experience / Designations:
Mr. Ganderson founded GANDERSON LAW, P.C. in 2008 to
accommodate the growth of his predecessor firm, the law
office of Martin J. Ganderson, which provided both
individuals and businesses with legal counseling for more
than twenty years. Prior to entering into the private
practice of law, Mr. Ganderson practiced as a certified
public accountant with the national accounting firm Ernst &
Ernst.
Mr. Ganderson is a member of the
Virginia State Bar, the American Bar Association, the
Norfolk and Portsmouth Bar Association, the National Academy
of Elder Law Attorneys, the American Association of
Attorney-Certified Public Accountants, and the Hampton Roads
Tax Forum. Mr. Ganderson is admitted to practice in the
Supreme Court of Virginia, the United States Court of
Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the United States District
Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the United
States Tax Court.

Mr. Ganderson is a co-author of (i) "Fundamental Issues in

Personal:
Mr. Ganderson is a native of
Norfolk, Virginia, and graduated from Granby High School. He
is married to the former Robin Patricia Kruger, and has two
children, Justin (who earned his law degree from the
University of Miami, and his undergraduate degree from
Cornell University, and is now an associate attorney at the
law firm of McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP [Washington, D.C.
office]) and Matthew (who earned his undergraduate degree
from Wake Forest University [having transferred from Colby
College] and is now pursuing a graduate degree in school
counseling at Old Dominion University).
Mr. Ganderson is an avid sports fan,
and took special pride in his son, Justin, being a member of
the football team at Maury High School (All-Tidewater
Punter, 1997) and Cornell University, and his son, Matthew,
being a member of the basketball teams at Maury High School
and Norfolk Academy (All TCIS and Virginia Prep League,
2001) and at Colby College. Mr. Ganderson is a member of the
2008-2009 Downtown Norfolk Council Board of Directors.
Outside of his interests in his family and the law, Mr.
Ganderson’s favorite pastimes are physical training and
being an avid supporter of the University of Miami Hurricane
football team.
